About me
I am profoundly anti-guru. While I’ve benefitted enormously from the work of many wise voices in psychology and philosophy, I also know that nothing can replace the work of listening deeply to ourselves with no agenda but curiosity.
I offer a supportive sounding board for people who are figuring things out for themselves, with the added benefit of structure coaching can provide. I'm not here to give you answers; I'm here to help you get quiet enough to hear your own, and I love asking questions that help you go deeper.
Sessions are open-ended by design. We follow what matters to you— what's present, what's stuck, or what’s asking for your attention and compassion. Sometimes that looks like untangling something hard that’s persisting despite your best efforts to transform it. Sometimes it looks like getting honest about what you already know but haven't said out loud yet. I believe the psyche unfolds as it needs to. (We can even talk about your dreams, if you’re into that!)
You can meet with me as regularly or sporadically as you see fit. I trust your ability to determine the shape of your own journey.
You might benefit from meeting with me if:
You've outgrown an old version of yourself and are in the process of shedding your dead skin.
You’ve realized the futility of making others an authority over your life and want to live in alignment with what’s really true for you.
You’ve seen the importance of relating to others without codependency, and want to move toward healthy interdependence in your relationships.
You’re done letting shame run the show
You’re an experienced people pleaser who’s trying to get better at living in touch with yourself.
You generally resonate with more heart-centered, compassionate approaches to growth (i.e. not hustling yourself into submission!)
You've done some version of inner work before—therapy, reading, reflection—and are continuing to step into your own power
You’re not looking for a high-commitment style of coaching, though you may crave “accountability” when it comes to your goals
You enjoy using myth and symbol to workshop the challenges in your life (think Women Who Run With the Wolves)
